In the Bible, there is a verse which says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18) In seeking to please God as a church family, Cornerstone has a mission, a goal, a hope, and a vision. We honour God’s revelation (the Bible) in each of these things.

These are the things that determine our church’s future and the focus of our prayer, energy, and resources.

Gospel Proclamation

In the Bible, there is a verse which says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18) In seeking to please God as a church family, Cornerstone has a mission, a goal, a hope, and a vision. We honour God’s revelation (the Bible) in each of these things.

Light is something of value to people everywhere. No matter how small a light might be when it is shining, it can lead anyone out of the darkness. The gospel is the good news that God has made the way for us to move from spiritual darkness to light. The truth in the Scriptures is God’s Son, Jesus Christ, came to earth, lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again to life so that anyone can have eternal life. Jesus Christ is humanity’s greatest need, and God has called us to speak to that need. We have received this message personally and are now compelled to share this news. Out of a heart of love for Jesus Christ and a concern for one another, Cornerstone is focused on delivering the gospel in our communities, our area, and among all nations.

A Grateful People

Being grateful people means we are thankful to God in private and together in public. We thank God when we have little and a lot because He is the Source of all we are and possess. Knowing God has met our every need in Jesus Christ, we choose to reflect Christ and love others as our way of telling Him, “Thank you.”

Each Sunday, we publicly gather, as a family of believers, to accurately represent the unified body of Christ. Together, we express our thankfulness and adoration to God for His continual love, mercy, and grace toward us. We do this through our worship, singing, prayer, and hearing the teaching of His word (the Bible).
