We’re thrilled you’re exploring what we are about here at Cornerstone. We are a group of caring and committed Christians who desire to make our church a trusted place where anyone can connect with God and others. To us, church is much more than a Sunday service or meeting place. It is where people enjoy creating close bonds between one another by intentionally maintaining relationships outside of a shared worship experience. The Bible describes the church as a place of fellowship, shared resources, and sincerity.

Meet Our Pastor

Pastor James Howard grew up under the influence of a devout Christian grandmother. As a teenager, He received Jesus Christ into his life. After Bible college and finishing seminary, he earned a M.Ed. from Maranatha Baptist University. While serving on staff at his second church, he met Karen; they married in June 2002. She was born and raised in a pastor’s family. Karen serves in our church as Children's Ministry Director and as a Grade 2 teacher at a private Christian school in Peel Region. They have lived in Oakville for 16+ years and are truly best friends. They consider themselves “blessed with three amazing children – Lauren, Megan, and Natalie – who keep our lives fun and full of adventure.” After serving in an itinerant ministry of preaching in churches in Canada and the States, our pastor followed the Lord's leadership to pastor Cornerstone Baptist Church.

How to Find Us

Just off the Queen Elizabeth Way, we are in a very centralized location between Niagara Falls and Downtown Toronto. We are steps away from public transportation, the Oakville Go Station, and a 20-minute drive from downtown Toronto and Pearson Airport.
